Understanding mileage limits and overage fees for your ZEVO booking.
Hosts have the option to set a mileage cap on their vehicles to protect against excessive wear and tear. These caps are designed to be generous for typical rideshare and gig work usage.
Vehicles with mileage caps will have at least one of the following daily limits:
225 miles a day is the default limit for all vehicles, while 150 miles and Unlimited can be turned off on any particular vehicle.
For weekly bookings, your mileage cap is averaged over the entire week. This gives you flexibility to drive more on busy days and less on slower days.
Example: If your vehicle has a 225-mile daily cap and you book for 7 days, you have 1,575 total miles for the week (225 × 7).
For daily drivers, the mileage cap is calculated on a day-by-day basis. Each day you'll need to stay within the daily limit.
If you exceed your mileage cap, overage fees will be applied:
These fees are automatically calculated based on the odometer reading at the end of your week or day. The precise time of this calculation is based off the time you started your booking.
Some vehicles are listed with unlimited miles and do not have an overage fee.
Important: Even with unlimited miles, if you utilize an excessive number of miles, the host may: request that you end the booking early, or inform you of an increase in your weekly rate.
This ensures fair usage for all drivers and helps maintain the vehicle in good condition.
