Definitions
Period 0 product = the time period during which a vehicle is being rented by a driver
Period x product = the time period during which a vehicle is is not being rented by a driver but is in the possession of Zevo and not the host
Example:
- If ABI does NOT cover a driver during the period that the Uber app is ON, and Uber either (1) denies the claim
OR (2) does not cover collision* then is there coverage from ABI that can be applied to the owner of the vehicle?
- The reason that Uber might not cover collision, is because Uber’s insurance only matches the existing insurance of the owner and the owner is only required to maintain the state minimum, which does NOT cover collision.
Comprehensive insurance and full coverage insurance are terms often used in the context of automobile insurance, but they refer to different concepts.
- Comprehensive Insurance:
- This type of insurance covers damages to your vehicle not involving a collision. It typically includes protection against events such as theft, vandalism, natural disasters (like floods or hurricanes), falling objects, and animal strikes.
- It does not cover damage resulting from a car accident with another vehicle or object; that would be covered under collision insurance.
- Full Coverage Insurance:
- Full coverage is not a specific type of policy but rather a combination of various coverages that provide more extensive protection. It usually includes liability insurance, collision insurance, and comprehensive insurance.
- Liability insurance covers damages to other people or property if you're at fault in an accident. Collision insurance covers damages to your vehicle resulting from a collision, regardless of fault.
- Essentially, full coverage means that you have both comprehensive and collision insurance, along with any required liability coverage.
In summary, comprehensive insurance focuses on non-collision-related incidents, while full coverage includes a broader range of protections, encompassing both comprehensive and collision insurance.

ZEVO Insurance Packages
Overview
ZEVO offers two distinct insurance packages designed to provide comprehensive coverage for both Drivers and Hosts: Period 0 and Period X insurance products. Each of these products includes full coverage options tailored to meet the needs of users during specific circumstances.
Insurance Products
1. Period 0 Insurance
- Target Audience: Drivers (also referred to as Guests)
- Coverage: Period 0 insurance is included in the weekly rental fee and provides full coverage during the time the vehicle is actively rented by a Driver.
- Coverage Limits: The policy offers coverage up to $110,000.
- Eligibility: Coverage is exclusively available to the Driver who has agreed to the ZEVO Terms of Service.
2. Period X Insurance
- Target Audience: Hosts
- Coverage: Period X insurance protects the vehicle when it is not being rented out by a Driver. This insurance is crucial for Hosts who want to safeguard their vehicles during non-rental periods.
- Brokerage: Period X insurance is offered through our insurance broker, ABI.
- Obtaining Coverage:
- To acquire Period X insurance, Hosts must visit ABI's website and complete the "request a quote" form.
- During the request process, Hosts have the option to select full coverage. It is important to note that if a Host opts out of full coverage and an incident occurs during a non-rental period, the vehicle will not be covered.
- Coverage Limits: The limits for Period X insurance vary by state but will always meet or exceed the minimum requirements set by state law.
Important Considerations
- Full Coverage Selection: For both Period 0 and Period X, selecting full coverage is highly recommended to ensure comprehensive protection.
- State Regulations: Hosts should be aware that coverage limits and requirements for Period X insurance may differ based on state regulations.
