New Driver Onboarding + Car Rental

Prerequisite:

Download and register the Tesla app for iOS or Android.

iOS

  1. Go to the App Store and download and register for ZEVO
    • Look for “ZEVO - EV Car Sharing”
    • The ZEVO app helps you manage your reservation, payments, and invoicing
  2. Verify your phone number
    • Check your text messages for a verification code
  3. Identity Verification of your Driver’s License with Persona
    • A member of ZEVO staff will review your DL and photo verification
    • Please allow up to 2 hours to process
  4. Once your Identity Verification is processed, we will need to verify your Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) with a 3rd party, Checkr.
  5. In your email inbox, find the one from Checkr and complete their form
    • This process is automated, and may take up to 2 hours to complete
  1. Once Checkr successfully runs your MVR report, you will be able to proceed in the ZEVO app and view our inventory for your city
  2. Select a vehicle and click “RESERVE FOR A WEEK”
  1. Almost done! Once you arrive to the car, you’ll be prompted to take four exterior photos of the car.
    • You can ignore the Interior photos if no action is needed
  2. Click “Start my ride” to finalize your reservation
    • You will be sent your insurance card and Tesla invite via SMS and email
    • Click on the Tesla invite in your email to gain full access to the car.
    • Tesla app will serve as your digital “key” for the car

Web Platform (web.zevo.com)

  1. Go to the web platform web.zevo.com and register for ZEVO
    • The ZEVO app helps you manage your reservation, payments, and invoicing
  2. Verify your phone number
    • Check your text messages for a verification code
  3. Identity Verification of your Driver’s License with Persona
    • A member of ZEVO staff will review your DL and photo verification
    • Please allow up to 2 hours to process

  1. Once Checkr successfully runs your MVR report, select “Find a vehicle” from the options menu on the top right of screen to see a list of our current inventory
  1. Select a vehicle, input your payment method, and click “START BOOKING”

  2. Click “Start my ride” to finalize your reservation
    • You will be sent your insurance card and Tesla invite via SMS and email
